Chris Moore

​Christopher Moore is a native of Charleston, West Virginia, and was a member of the award-winning George Washington High School band program.  Mr. Moore graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University with a degree in Music Education.  He earned his M.S. in Music Education from Towson University.  Mr. Moore was recently selected as a 2019 Grammy Music Educator Quarterfinalist, one of only 188 from over 2800 nominations.

Mr. Moore taught at the International Summer Jazz Academy in Krakow, Poland and has studied jazz and classical saxophone with Curtis Johnson, Jonathan Brink, Dr. David Wright, and with Chief Musician Michael Bayes and Petty Officer 1st Class Jonathan Yanik of the United States Navy Band.  He has studied conducting privately with Dr. Dana Rothlisberger, former Director of Bands at Towson University.  Mr. Moore performed at the 2010 Navy Band Saxophone Symposium at George Mason University for a master class presented by world-renowned saxophonist Philippe Geiss.  Mr. Moore was a mellophone performer with the WVU Mountaineer Marching Band, and the Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps.

Mr. Moore has been on staff and has directed high school bands in the Mid-Atlantic.  He was the Director of Bands at Easton High School in Easton, MD where he also co-directed and founded the Easton High School Winter Guard with his wife, Danielle.  Mr. Moore was on staff with the Towson University TIGER Marching Band as a Graduate Assistant, which was the featured University marching band in the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Following his time at Towson, Mr. Moore taught instrumental music at William Penn High School in New Castle, DE and Valley High School in Smithers, West Virginia.

Mr. Moore joined the Jupiter High School band and choir programs in 2015, and works with the award-winning band and chorus programs.  Mr. Moore teaches private music lessons at Absolute Music Studios in Jupiter, and is also a professional singer in local church and temple choirs. Mr. Moore’s wife, Danielle teaches color guard, and has performed with the Phantom Regiment as a member of the colorguard, and has judged as a member of the TOB and TIA.  They have two awesome little boys, Wesley and Wyatt.
