Jorge Portal began Colorguard in Miami, FL. He started his color guard career as a
freshman at Southwest High School where he joined the Winterguard in 2004.
After the school year was over he transferred to Braddock High School where he
continued Colorguard. Jorge graduated in 2007 and joined Braddock Independent
from 2007 to 2013. Jorge also marched Drum Corp with The Boston Crusaders
from 2009 to 2011. After aging out, Jorge got the opportunity to teach the 2012
guard at The Boston Crusaders. Jorge also taught at Miami Coral Park, Miami
Killian High School, and Braddock High School. In 2011 Jorge moved to Broward
County where he began to teach at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Jorge
will continue to teach his passion at Jupiter High School as the Colorguard
Director.
